About

East Coast Proud was founded in 2007 by Terry Holdershaw. Terry grew up in the rural town of Hemford, Nova Scotia. After graduating high school at Parkview Education Centre in Bridgewater, NS in 2001 he moved to Toronto to attend college and study audio engineering which was and still is a passion of his. In 2007 as social media platforms such as Facebook started to become popular he started up East Coast Proud as an online community to bring East Coasters together from all over the world. Shortly after he also launched a line of branded T-shirts that went along with the East Coast Proud community.

While growing this business he always had East Coast Proud running and slowly growing as well.

Terry has a passion and love for the East Coast of Canada with family still back home. He now lives an hour west of Toronto and whenever possible he travels back to visit Nova Scotia and the East Coast. One of his favourite family vacation spots is Green Bay, NS. East Coast Proud is active on social media sharing news, photos, art, music, food, craft beer and interesting articles all from the East Coast of Canada.
